IDEAS COMPETITION PROGRAMS

Between March and June 2016, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and People for the Pavilion partnered with two Queens-based placemaking organizations—RPGA Studio and Hibridos Collective—to implement a series of public programs where participants could work directly with artists and designers to represent their ideas for the New York State Pavilion. The goal was to create an inclusive, low-barrier opportunity for people of all backgrounds to engage with the history and design of the Pavilion, and to share their vision for its future.
